Laura Nicholson

My name is Laura Nicholson and I'm a character animator that is currently focusing almost completely on creature animation. I've always had a love of animals and when I realised I wanted to go into animation it was clear for me that Creature animation was the way forward. My observational skills and patience are a huge part of what I do, sitting watching reference material to get just the right movements for a character. My dream is to create and inspire through the work I produce. Well versed in Maya, which is what I usually use to animate. I'm also very willing to learn and adapt to new packages in my own time where required.

Also, I have a background in Graphic Design which is my second love, I spend most time doing vector graphics creating stunning logos and designing posters using Adobe illustrator. However, I am just as skilled with Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Fireworks for creating beautiful apps, pamflets, magazine layout and a host of stationary design. Again i'm more than capable of learning new softwares, and generally learn quite fast.
